Name :: Kempachi Zaraki
" You can just call me Zaraki though. "
Age :: 12
" I've got plenty of energy left in me, so don't you mess with me. "
Gender :: Stallion
" You should be able to tell. "
Breed :: Jutland x Shire x Belgian Draft
"I have a little variety in my bloodlines, they're the best of the best."
Height :: 18.2 hh
"I'm naturally tall and tough."
Eyes :: dark brown
"I have great vision."
Mane & Tail :: reddish
Coat :: red roan
"One of the best colors out there."
Alliance :: Possessed
" I'll admit, I'm a bloodthirsty beast. "
Raven :: Yachiru
Young and childish, Yachiru is spirited and full of energy. She is often seen perched on Kempachi's shoulder, and often calls her equine friend 'Kenny'.
"She is the only one I really care about."
Personality :: His outward appearance alone is enough to show that is is certainly not a stallion you would want to mess with. The stallion tends to be confident in his strength, which can lead him to be overconfident. Despite his occasional arrogance, this stallion has certainly learned much through his twelve years of life. Thus, he does have his wisdom. The only thing his mind lacks is a good sense of direction. Often he relies on Yachiru to know where they are, but she isn't that much more reliable. So the two sometimes just wander wherever, not even knowing where exactly they are. That doesn't bother the brute at all, since he thinks it makes his life more adventurous and fun.
It never takes one long to realize that Zaraki is a beast who is always looking for a good fight. He finds thrill and joy in battling the best he can find. The stallion will even hold back to make a fight last longer, especially if he has found a good opponent. Despite being brutal, Kempachi will almost always discontinue a battle if his opponent can't fight back anymore, claiming he has lost his interest. He will kill others though if that seems to be the right option. That being other horses, or predators even. You won't find him attacking weak mares or foals though, because he finds no challenge in that. Although he tends to be a violent fighter, in the end, his actions are usually for the best. The stallion greatly respects those who can defeat him or push his limits.
Though he often isn't the friendliest figure, Kempachi can be enjoyable to be around when he isn't occupied with his desire for a battle. It is true he probably enjoys enemies over friends, but that doesn't mean he doesn't accept friends. Forming a friendship with the stallion is a tough task to accomplish though. He is loyal once you gain his trust though. Often he is blunt with his words, never afraid to say what is on his mind.
"If you don't like me, that's fine. I love to have enemies anyways."
History :: Kempachi was born into the world to a caring, yet troubled mare. His herd was made up of his mother and a mere few other mares who still stuck together. Their future didn't seem to be going anywhere though. Soon the few met their terrible fate, and Zaraki was the only one to live on. The colt was only about a year and a half old when he was left to fend for himself. A spirited and adventurous young thing, he was actually glad he didn't have to follow anyone anymore. Now free to do whatever, the colt wandered venturing through the lands. There were many times where the stallion nearly came all to close to death, however he managed to get away with his life every time. The brute soon grew up to be a massively large horse, which he could thank his draft bloodlines of course. By the time the stallion was an adult standing at eighteen point two hands, he was something to fear.
Around the age of four, Kempachi began to grow bored with his life of wandering around. He needed something more, and the stallion soon found something to fill that empty part of him. Fighting - it became what he practically lived for. The thrill of challenging other stallions to see who was the strongest made him happy. He never fought for anything though. No, he merely fought for the enjoyment of battle. As he continued his life possessed with challenging others, Zaraki kept trying to find stronger opponents to test himself. By the time he was around eight however, it seemed there was no one else to go up against.
So yet again, the brute went back to traveling. He soon found himself trekking through a desert, and at that time, he battled the desert heat and cold. Though it wasn't like an actual battle, Zaraki still enjoyed the challenge. Once the stallion finally crossed the desert, he entered the lands of Ravenhaught. It was only after a month he wandered in the lands that Kempachi found his raven companion. The young bird found him after he attained victory from a fight with wolves. The fowl was curious of the stallion, oddly enough, and not afraid of the brute as so many others were. The two became companions quickly, and the bird now tags along with Zaraki everywhere. You could almost say the stallion has adopted the young raven.
Now, Kempachi calls Ravenhaught home, and he has recently aligned himself with the Possessed. The stallion was interested in what it would be like to have a permanent home, and an alliance. Whether he'll stick with this decision has yet to be decided upon though. The Possessed alliance appealed to the brute's ways, so he thought it might be a good idea. After all, things in Ravenhaught have seemed to peaceful for Zaraki.
