Name :: Edward
Age :: three
Gender :: stallion
Breed :: Paso Fino x New Forest Pony
Height :: 12.3 hh
Eyes :: golden brown
Coat :: palomino
Mane & Tail :: a creme color/light palomino
Alliance :: desolate
Raven :: Al - Unlike his equine companion, Al has a rather calm and passive disposition. The raven is kindhearted, notably compassionate and patient almost to a fault. He often acts out of protective selflessness for his loved ones, new friends and sometimes toward even his enemies. Though he is usually the mature one of the two, Al has a childish side as well. The bird tends to be quieter and even shy, and he would never want to hurt anyone's feelings. He can be doubtful at times though, and Al tends to be a cautious one.
Personality :: Still young with many years ahead of him, Edward has much to learn despite what he has gone through already. He often displays an immature sort of personality on the surface. The stallion is quite a stubborn and strong-willed little thing, frequently letting his pettiness and vindictiveness get the better of him. At times, he can be selfish and self-absorbed, generally acting more out of self-interest. He'll also take any opportunity to stroke his own ego. Ed is commonly hostile towards figures of authority that he doesn't get along with, and feels little incentive to follow orders with which he disagrees. The stallion has a rather quick temper, often taking out anger with violence rather than a calm way. With a strong mind, he isn't afraid to say something, even if hit is the harsh truth. He also has a tendency to be impatient, and he finds it hard to sit still. Thus, the palomino likes to travel around alot.
For those few people who have made an impact on him, Ed shows his deeper nature to be one of marked selflessness, great compassion, unflinching loyalty. He can actually be really understanding and sympathetic, and he will want to do whatever he can to help those who need it. Though his advice to some is often tempered with brusque criticism, it is only because he genuinely wishes to place them on the most direct path forward. If anyone is a friendly figure towards him, he will be the same towards them. Still young, Edward also enjoys to play around and have fun, as well as have adventures. One of his most noticeable characteristics would definitely be his short height. Even in moments of relative composure, any and all references to his size cause him to violently lose control of his emotions and lash out both verbally and physically. In the end though, Edward has a really friendly and caring personality towards those that can find it.
History :: Edward was born to two loving parents that raised him in a desolate herd in Ravenhaught. Not long after he was on his own feet, the colt found his raven companion - Al. The bird was just beginning life on it's own, and the two happened to meet while playing and soon became best friends and practically brothers. Life went on happily for the two in their early days. One day though, Edward's father left for reasons he still doesn't know yet, though his mother said the stallion would be back when he could. Since then, the colt didn't really care much for his father, thinking he simply abandoned them, though his mother assured him that wasn't the case.
At the age of one was when a terrible fire engulfed the herd-land where Edward lived. Many escaped the flames, however there were a few lives lost that day. One was Edward's mother, who died in order to help her child get to safety. Ever since then, both the colt and raven felt like they should've done something to save her. Also, Ed had more anger towards his father, as he wasn't there to help at all. After the fire was finally gone, the palomino went with his herd and they moved to a different place. He was filled with sadness, however as time went on, he livened up again.
The little stallion continues to live in the Desolate lands where his home is, and he is still trying to get over the death of his mother. Thanks to his companion Al, Edward has someone alive that he still cares about. The two have sworn to protect each-other now, and live on in the peaceful Desolate lands. Also, Edward hopes to make a future for himself by finding a herd and gaining a rank.
