Personality :: Though often a friendly figure, Tsunade has both a bad and good side. The fjord horse can be quick to decide whether someone is a friend or foe, making it wise to never push your luck around her. Anger won't sway her reasoning though, because order is a high priority. The many years have slowly evolved Tsunade's personality, shaping it to be what it is today. Despite the stains left by her past, the basis of her personality remains unchanged and as strong as ever.
One thing to realize immediately is her firm attitude, and the determination that boils inside her. With Tsunade's quick temper, you should never carelessly question her. She does consider the words of others, but if you push her too far she will lash out at you with all she has. With all the years worth of experience, she knows she has gained a wise mind by now. When observing others it is a habit to pick out their faults. She'll tell someone straight to their face what their faults are, but this is to genuinely help them, with the exceptions of enemies. Since the fjord horse strives for the best, she can be quite critical of others and herself as well.
Never would she harm an innocent soul. No, Tsunade would only defend, unless she had a good reason to attack someone. Having participated for her home on the front lines of battle, and behind with her herbal knowledge, this fjord is done enough fighting. She now only desires peace, however Tsunade understands that sometimes fighting or war is the only way. Underneath that tough horse is a kind-hearted mare that simply cares for her friends and comrades. She holds great loyalty for them all, thus even willing to offer her very life to protect them all. Though it may falter at times, Tsunade has a great faith for the next generation which she swears to protect.
Tsunade was once an avid gambler in her earlier days; always making bets with her brother. She quickly learned though past experiences to take this little tendency much more seriously though. Even though she enjoys a little bet every now and then, in serious matters the mare plays with strategy and reasoning. Every move is thought out carefully, everything is take into consideration, each possibility is played out in that mind of hers. The fear of loosing even more in life just grows. This even leads paranoia when overwhelmed with such decisions need to be made, though she would never let such a weakness show. Her history has taught the mare to take caution with critical matters, and that is certainly for the better.
The phobia of blood still plagues the fjord horse to this day. Never has she admitted to it though, having been extremely lucky to not witness the liquid since the war. Such barbaric battle is despised by the mare as well, and she is determined to help prevent it from devouring her beloved ones again. She now hopes to promote peace, and live in a peaceful land where she can live a better life. Though her past has weakened her in some ways, it has also made her stronger in others.
History :: Born into the world with pure Norwegian Fjord blood, the mare was naturally a tough little filly. She was raised by loving parents who taught her the morals she still lives with today. While her mother was a submissive and caring soul, her father who was the leader of their herd was more firm, dominant, and held high expectations. Tsunade was the firstborn to both horses, defiantly testing them of their parenting abilities. The dam had a kind heart, filling the filly with love. Her sire however, didn't hold as much kindness, and was a little pushy and demanding of the filly at first, but he began to back off the older the foal got. He hoped for great things for his daughter though, thus he was hoping to help her on her way to becoming great like himself. It didn't take long for both her mother and father's side to show in the mare, with her kind attitude yet quick temper.
Having gained experience as parents, by the time Tsunade was two they had another foal. This one was a colt, and despite the usual bickering between siblings, the young mare and colt got along splendidly. Her brother showed great ambition which their sire gladly pursued. The colt desired to reach great heights in his life, thus thankfully shifting all the focus off Tsunade. These early years of hers were probably the happiest ones she ever experienced. Sadly, all happiness had its end. As the dark fog of war devoured the land, it claimed countless victims. The dun mare witnessed the death of her dear brother, who eagerly participated in the battle as she did. As if that wasn't enough pain, both of her parents disappeared with the reasons unknown. Tsunade could only hope at that time that they had gotten away alive. The possibility that her beloved parents were still alive was the only thing that kept the mare going after that. In the end they didn't really win or loose the war, and a new leader was chosen after Tsunade's father couldn't be found.
Of course time passed, and the hopes of her parent's returning withered. Ultimately, sadness overcame Tsunade from the shattered life she somehow continued to live. Despite the loss of both her father and brother, she pursued their dreams of reaching great heights in her herd. She swore to do so in their honor, to protect others from loosing loved ones like she did. However a light did come later in life, reviving the once lively mare. It was a stallion, and the love of her life that finally came into the picture. The two met during the time they both were guards for the herd, conveniently assigned to work together. The stallion was everything she could've dreamed of though, and the barrier around her heart was broken by him. It was almost as if she saw her sire and brother in him, as well as the same hopes and dreams.
The two continued to work together for the herd, growing closer and closer as each day passed. All her sorrow was wiped away by this stallion, everything was finally good again. Only death could penetrate such ties, and death apparently didn't hesitate to do so. Despite Tsunade's cries for the stallion to not participate on the front-lines in the recent war, he persisted to do so. With her failed attempt at convincing her beloved to preserve his life by staying off the battlefield, she decided to join him. She thought that was the least she could do to try and keep the stallion safe. In the end however, despite all the herbal knowledge, the words of warning, Tsunade found herself standing over the body that once helped lift her life as high as ever. To this day she questions, why?
That war ended her herd. The few that were left fled to other herds and lands, and Tsunade did the same. Blood. It made her feel sick. The sight of the red liquid was tolerated no longer by Tsunade, and she ultimately developed a phobia of it after the war. Effects of death left the fjord shattered again, only to put a tougher barrier around her broken heart. Still, she knew all three beloved males would only persuade her to stay strong and pursue the dreams they all had. Gathering the determination she had left, Tsunade carried on her life in honor of all three. Somehow her resolve to protect every innocent life she could was as strong as ever. Knowing her beloveds would only want the best for Tsunade, she kept that in mind as she continues her life. Now, the Fjord has found the land of Ravenhaught, where she hopes to start a new life. Still, she lives with the sadness of her past that the mare has yet to completely get over.
