Raven :: Nemu - Nemu is a very shy, withdrawn, and introverted individual, preferring to stay silent in her companion's presence. Despite Mayuri's seeming lack of care for her existence, she is very submissive and loyal to him, willing to badly injure herself just to give him an advantage in battle. Unlike Mayuri, she seems to have compassion for others sometimes. Nemu is the only one Mayuri ever really cares about at all.
Personality :: Kurotsuchi is basically your mad scientist, as he loves researching and observing things. He seems to be emotionless, not feeling anything towards or for anyone - not even his raven really. Sadistic and cruel, he sees everyone and everything not as a living being, but as an object to be researched—including himself. He has little respect or regard for most others, really only caring about himself and his goals. While he usually shows disregard for life, he has been known to warn people of possible dangers when they present themselves though.
The stallion tends to be really calm and collected, and he has quite the patience when researching things. He has no regard for anyone's feelings, and he rarely can be offended by anyone. Without feelings for others, he will do a say anything he wants. Mayuri is careful with what he say and does though, as there are some that could prove to be useful to him. Those who are, he will try to manipulate however he needs to. Mayuri is also a really good strategist, and he can think things through quickly. Risks are sometimes taken by the stallion, however he usually prefers to avoid such things.
History :: Mayuri never had an easy childhood, and he never really talks about his past. The thing is though, nothing bad that has happened to him has saddened him. In fact, he doesn't really care about his past because he considers it boring, not because it is sad. Ever since he was little though, the stallion was basically a 'mad scientist'. He grew up in a herd that was basically led by a harsh dictator, and maybe that is why Mayuri is is so emotionless, sadistic and cruel. Being a genius of science, he had his own special jobs within his herd, and he was quite valuable to their dictator. He also spent some time as a prisoner during wartime. After war corrupted the land where he was from, the stallion moved on to go elsewhere, claiming he lost interest in his homeland. Being obsessed with science, he wanted to find somewhere he could do research and learn of anything new or interesting.
Around the age of ten was when Mayuri finally came upon the lands of Ravenhaught. He was fascinated by the companionship between horses and ravens found there, so he stayed. After a year 'researching' things in Ravenhaught, the Marwari found his own raven companion, Nemu. Though he doesn't value other lives much, he found Nemu in a very poor condition, and nursed her back to health. Though he claims it was for mere research, the stallion slightly did care about the bird as well. He continues to live in Ravenhaught with Nemu always at his side. Mayuri hasn't aligned himself with any alliance specifically yet. He says that he'll only choose one when he finds one useful, that'll help with his research and beneficial in any other ways.
