With the activity check closed, boards will be cleaned up and hopefully we can get some activity going here again! Some tension between the angelics and possessed is still brewing, and if you'd like to be a part of that, be sure to check out the plotting board where you can find the thread on that. Unikko knew that Cassiel was her chosen stallion. Forever, she'd not go with any other stallion, no matter how strong or handsome!
But still, she felt herself feeling intimidated by the caverns she was about to enter. Was she ready? Yes she thought so. Was Cassiel ready? That was a yes as well. Cassiel was so sweet, he'd do anything for her...

Then why did her shoulders shake right now? She thought of her mother, because her mother had been brave until death. If it weren't for her mother, she'd never made it this far. And that gave the paint courage.

"Cassiel?"
She straightened herself.
"Are you... Are we ready?"
She pressed her cheek to his face again. She loved the touch of her warm cheek to his warm cheek. It made her past loneliness fade further and she liked the closeness.

The pair of horses stood outside of the caverns, they looked ominous and dark but they had been assured that they were completely safe and that was good enough for Cassiel.

The stallion nickered softly and buried his nose into Unikko's mane, "Yes, I'm ready." The thought of being a father both excited and terrified him but he knew that Unikko would be a sweet and caring mother.

Ravenhaught History Years ago, this island was inhabited by nothing but bugs, insects, and ravens. From North to South, East to West, the birds could be seen everywhere. No other animals inhabited the island. One day, a group of 6 horses arrived on the island- 3 stallions, and their mares. The leader of the group, Haught, seemed fascinated by the birds. The others were as well, but they were content in just looking at the black birds. Haught was completely transfixed.
One day, Haught crossed a bird that was injured- pitying the bird, he nursed it back to health the best as he could. He almost thought the bird wouldn't make it- and then the bird transformed.
It was not a raven, but the Celtic Raven Goddess- Morrigan. Pleased that the stallion did not leave her die, she blessed him and the other 5 horses.
Years went by, and slowly, more horses came to the island. The ravens would bond with a horse, be companions, and spirit guides. This bond is called 'Ravenhaught', taken from the bond first made with the stallion years earlier.
There was only one alliance, with Haught as the king. However, as time passed, he slowly started losing his sanity. He was more evil than he had been. His two advisers saw this, and, taking some members of the original herd, and leaving. All the horses of the 'Possessed', as Haught's group was named, slowly started showing these aggressive tributes, though there where a few 'bad eggs'.
Taking their herds, the other two stallions started their own alliances- the Angelic, who strive to do as much good in their life as they can, and the desolate, who are neither good nor evil- they are too busy trying to survive.
To this day, almost a century later, the bond between horses and ravens are a strong as ever, however, the relationship between the Angelic and the Possessed has fallen into a downward spiral- the Desolate doing everything in their power to stay out of the crossfire between the two waring alliances, while also trying to calm things down.
